Mobile Community Health Programme

When Schools are closed Mpilonhle provides integrated health services focusing on "Out of School Youth" and their communities.   

Besides HIV testing, sessions included screening for;

• Sexual Transmitted Diseases (STIs)

• TB including Multi Drug Resistance TB (MDR)

• Pregnancy

• Obesity

• Drug and Alcohol use

• Victims of Gender Based Violence and Sexual Abuse

Other services included family planning, contraceptives, and adherence clubs.

Referrals and follow-ups are provided to either Mpilonhle staff such as nurses, psychologists, and social workers, and government agencies such as local clinics and hospitals, Department of Social Development, other NGOs, and South Africa Police Services "SAPS" in case of reporting cases of abuse.
